DETAIL: Born in Seignelay, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté he was a Modernist painter in the true tradition also integratingcubism into his paintings. Moving to Paris to paint in the 1930s he became a member of the ‘Espace Group’ in the 50’s which included artists such as Sonia Delaunay, Jean Prove, Victor Vasarely and Fernand Leger. In the 40’s he exhibited at the Salon d’Automne in Lyon and held numerous further exhibitions in both Paris & London Galleries.
