DETAIL: From Scottish painter Ann Patrick, a typically French influenced impressionist oil painting of a couple (probably the artist and her husband) working amongst the olive groves of an Italian house which sits on top of the hill in the far distance. Beautiful colours and impressionist technique.
Ann Patrick is a Scottish artist born and educated in Dundee, is a graduate of Dundee Art College and presently resides in Arbroath with husband painter, Richard Hunter. Her Paintings reflect her immediate surroundings giving formal permanence to ephemera such as fruit, flowers, detailed aspects of sea and landscapes. She often visits and paints Italy and, in particular, Tuscany.
Her works are in the permanent collection of Dundee, Aberdeen and Angus Art Galleries and in the collections of H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh, Scottish Television PLC, United Distillers PLS, Noble Grossart, Harrision (Cyde) Ltd, Adam & Co, Robert Fleming Holdings of London, as well as in Private Collections in Great Britain, Canada, USA, Holland, Denmark, Hong Kong, France, Algiers, Japan and Ireland.
